Privacy Policy
What we collect
- From creators: the name, email, and profile picture returned by Google OAuth; your chosen username/slug; your receive addresses per coin; your BTC pre-payment and tip-rule preferences.
- From viewers: the display name and message you type into the tip form. Message length is capped at 240 characters.
- Automatically: IP addresses (used ONLY for per-client rate limiting, stored in volatile memory, never persisted).
- Public blockchain data: transaction IDs that satisfy payment intents, fetched from public explorers (Blockchair, mempool.space, Kraken).
What we don't collect
- Private keys, seed phrases, or any wallet-signing material. Ever.
- KYC documents, government IDs, SSNs, or bank data. We're not a money transmitter.
- Tracking cookies from third-party ad networks. Only essential auth cookies are set.
How we use it
To operate the service: display tips on overlays, keep your dashboard synced, enforce platform fee settlement, and answer your emails. That's it. No advertising, no sold data, no behavioral profiles.
What we share
Nothing with third parties for their own marketing. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (MongoDB, Google OAuth, public block explorers, price APIs). Those providers see only the data necessary to perform their specific function, under their own published privacy policies.
Data retention
Creator accounts and tip history are retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@tiptop.chat. On-chain records are permanent by nature of the public blockchain; we cannot alter those.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
